Saumitra Gokhale

Originally from Pune, Maharashtra, Saumitra graduated with a B.E (Metallurgy) from Pune and with M.S. (Mech) from Canada. After finishing his studies, he decided to dedicate his life for the sake of the society. He worked as a pracharak (full-time worker) of RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) from 1995 to 1999 in the state of Maharashtra, India. He then moved to continue his social work outside India. 1999 onwards, he was been working as a pracharak of HSS (Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh). Outside India, he has worked in a number of places including Caribbean countries, Canada and the United States of America. Based currently in the USA he is the global coordinator for HSS activities. Saumitra is also part of the International Center for Cultural Studies, an institute dedicated to research on ancient and native traditions of the world.
As part of his work he has travelled to several countries in all the continents. He is a very well read person with a wealth of knowledge on Hindu Dharma, India and ancient traditions. A very engaging speaker, he has conducted a number of seminars and workshops which have inspired hundreds of youths to come forward and give time for the society.
