M.D., an Emergency Physician, is a co-founder of the Hindu American Foundation (HAF). HAF is an advocacy organization that educates the public about Hinduism, speaks out about issues affecting Hindus worldwide, & builds bridges with institutions & individuals whose work aligns with HAF’s objectives. HAF focuses on human & civil rights, public policy, media, academia, & interfaith relations. Through its advocacy efforts, HAF seeks to cultivate leaders and empower future generations of Hindu Americans. He provided medical care in India after the 2001 earthquake, in NY after 9/11, & in Sri Lanka after the 2004 tsunami. A member of the US Department of Homeland Security's Disaster Medical Assistance Team & former member of the East Bay Regional Parks Advisory Committee, he has received numerous awards for his community service. He serves on the Board of the Silicon Valley Interreligious Council. .
