“Mother’s day, the day to appreciate all the good things your mother has done for you.”
Mother’s Day was first introduced in 1908 by Anna Jarvis from West Virginia, as a day to honor one’s mother.
In 1914, it was made an official national holiday by US President Woodrow Wilson.
Mother’s Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May.
Mothers are very special people. Any day of the year is a great day to tell Mom how much you love her!
Mother is made of:
M = Mentoring
O = Ocean of unconditional love and compassion
T = Teachings (first guru)
H = Humbleness
E = Endurance
R = Relationship builder
A mother is a mother and always be a mother; and always be there for you (24/7). Her blessings will always be with you.
There is nothing greater than mother’s love. Mother’s words are always sweet. At times she may use harsh words, but they are meant only to correct you, not to hurt you. There may be a wicked child, but there can never be a wicked mother in this world. Today is declared as mother’s day only to make you understand the value of mother’s love and her concern for you. Among mother, father, teacher and God, mother is given the topmost priority. The modern youth do not care for the mother. They think they are highly educated and that the mother does not know anything. It is a great mistake to think so. Never look down upon the mother. – Shri Sathya Sai Baba
A Very Happy Mother’s day
